It’s surely been a hectic day for OnePlus teasing their new product in the budget line of smartphones, the OnePlus X. Many say that it has been hyped perfectly, while some just disagree. However, the device does holds some serious specifications inside. Think of it this way – Take a OnePlus One, shorten down the screen by half-an-inch, and square off all corners, with a new AMOLED screen.
As much as we’d love to talk about the OnePlus X in this article, we have something even more (or less) exciting for you down the hill! Along side with the release of two new hardware devices (the other one being the OnePlus Icons earphones), OnePlus also compiled an amazing piece of software and put it on the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store.
This new application goes by the name ‘Reflexion‘, and the ‘x’ tells half of the story there. What it actually is that it acts as a photo-taking application, but in a unique way. There are four main-screens, all four of them forming an ‘X’ layout together. Both the left and right parts take advantage of your device’s front camera, and snap a picture of you (or something else), and then mirror it to both the sides.
Next up, the top and bottom parts take advantage of your primary camera, and snap a picture, and mirror it just like in the previous case. The final outcome is a stitched version of both the images, and it looks like an ‘X’. Further more, you can tweak with the image a little bit, and adjust the ‘X’ layout to be either on the right side, the left side, or aligned in the middle.
While this application might not seem that fantastic, it is really fun to be around when you are really bored. Take it in this sense – you are with your friend, who needs an awesome snap. You can use this application to take a snap of both of you and your friend. Moreover, your friend would love the reflection kind of layout. While this application has been just released, it wouldn’t be surprising to see filters being added to it.
